Karin | 9408 comments I am reading this series out of order and have read all of the books after this as well as a few before this. It was fine, but not one of my favourites--a bit of a chore at times, but overall I liked it.

There is a blurb written to entice prospective readers. Suffice it to say that Kinsey is hired by a recently widowed woman to find out what was bothering her late husband who was a police detective, and the people in this small mountain town are not too pleased that she is working on this. And it becomes obvious it's not just because no one seems to like the widow. IMO not nearly enough scenes with Henry in it since most of it is set in this other town, and there are a few other things that made it not as good for me as a few of the others in this series.

Doughgirl5562 | 966 comments I don't remember this one at all! I started reading the series about twenty years ago and have now completed it. Someday I plan to re-read the series so it's probably a good thing that I can't remember LOL. The ones that stick out in my memory are K (It was bad - left a lot of loose ends) and I remember really liking Q is for Quarry.

Karin | 9408 comments I haven't read the K one; my highest ratings are for U and W which I listened to on audiobook. I don't want to listen to the other narrator, because I like Judy Kaye's voice for Kinsey so well. Perhaps the other narrator only does the abridged ones, because I see two different ones for this book but I haven't dug deeper.
