Discuss the characters here

One the things I like abt the book is how the author is unraveling the characters through the alternating timelines. Even though we know the ultimate fate, each plane scene rachets up the tension because we don't know what happened... Yet (I am at 50%).

I find some of the other characters odd. I find Edward himself odd, even taking out the plane crash.
I like the neighbor girl (is her name Mya? I am on audible and forgot), but she doesn't act like a preteen\teen girl. She seems more like a wise old grandma.

Overall I am enjoying the book and wonder where it is going and how it is going to end.

I'm listening as well, and only about 10% in. I'm enjoying it so far, but find myself liking Edward, not in spite of his oddness, but because of it.

I thought this was a really interesting character book. I kept thinking that you know early on that these people are not going to make it, but they don't know that. So, to see them tell their stories about what life has been like and what they expect in the future knowing that they will have no future is a fascinating way to tell a story.
