message 2: by Rose [Champagne problems] (last edited Jun 14, 2021 06:58AM) (new)

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah walked through the corridors after Transfiguration class was done, sighing heavily. "I really gotta work on those spells, I sucked so bad." She muttered to her bowtruckle Alex which was hidden in the back of her neck, hidden by her violet hair. To the student's passing by, it looked like she was talking and giggling to herself, making it even weirder.

message 3: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth was hurrying to the library. She finished her classes and she wanted to read a few pages before dinner. She was distracted by an owl that flew above her head and bumped into a girl who looked like she was talking to herself.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments The next thing she next was that she bumped right into someone, making her bounce back, losing her balance. Her hand was pushing through the air for support, but she landing on the ground nonetheless. She groaned, massaging her temple, trying to get back on her feet.

message 5: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth wanted to yell at the person she bumped in, but she saw the girl confused and trying to get up and she softed a little. She gave her her hand, wanting to help her get up. "I'm... uh... I'm sorry"

message 6: by Rose [Champagne problems] (last edited Jun 14, 2021 07:25AM) (new)

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments She looked at the hand gestured to her, and then looking up at the person who bumped into her, looking at her for a second. She hesitantly took the hand and stood up, dusting the dust off her cloak. "It's fine, no harm done." She picked up her book, not noticing her creature not hiding behind her neck anymore.

message 7: by Potato (new)

Potato "I... Can I help you with your books?" she said, but then she realised she sounded kind of creepy. "Or not. I mean... if you want or..." She frowned at hersalf. What was she doing? She was really bad with at interacting with people. "I'm sorry, I act like a total wirdo"

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Hearing the girl react to her own response made her chuckle softly, "I'd love the help," She gave her a hint of a smile, "And don't worry. I don't act, I am a total weirdo." She looked over at the girl.

message 9: by Potato (new)

Potato "You... you seem really nice..." Elizabeth blushed. "I'm sorry, is this really weird?" She looked at the girl between her eyelashes. "I'm Elizabeth. Or you can call me Beth. If you want, you don't have to or..." She closed her mouth. How was she so awkward?

message 10: by Rose [Champagne problems] (last edited Jun 14, 2021 08:26AM) (new)

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah blushed lightly but straightened up to look at her entirely, "Thank you," She giggled softly at her awkwardness. It reminded Lilah of herself. "Not at all. A pleasure to meet you, Beth." She smiled softly and gently, "I'm Delilah. You can call me anything that works for you."

'This is the first time someone willingly tries to make a conversation with me. I hope I don't ruin it.'

message 11: by Potato (new)

Potato "Alright, it was a pleasure to meet you! Maybe... uh... maybe we'll see each other around sometimes? Or at the Yule Ball? Or... anyway, you got my ideea." Elizabeth looked at the girl and smiled awkwardly. She forgot what she was doing on the hallway, but it didn't really matter now.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments She nodded sweetly, "Maybe we will. See you then Beth." She smiled softly, her hand awkwardly going to her neck, her hand where her bowtruckle was supposed to be seated, to find there was no one there. Her face paled, her eyes turned frantic. She quickly twisted her hair to the side, not there. She started looking around at the ground frantically, "Alex?!" She mumbled flustered.

message 13: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth was surprises by Delilah's sudden mood change. "Are you alright?" she asked "Who's Alex? Can I help you find it? Or he... or her..."

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah had not been this frantic in a long time, she looked up at Elizabeth, "I-I'm...I need to find my bowtruckle. He was right there a few minutes ago. He has to be around here. I don't know what I'd do without him! Please help me!" She spoke frantically, her hazel eyes shining with worry.

message 15: by Potato (new)

Potato "Ok, I'll help you!" Elizabeth didn't understand Delilah's panick, but she never had a pet and she knew that a lot of people are very attached to their animals. "Dose he usually disappear?" She didn't know anything about bowtruckles and she hoped she didn't make Delilah feel even worst then she already was.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments "Of course not! He's really shy and never goes off on his own." She looked around the ground, "He's about this size and he's a bright green and is really amazing to hug- wait that's not helping!" She sighed, panicky. "The last time I saw him was a few minutes before I bumped into you. So he shouldn't have gone far right?" She asked, taking a minute to scan the area.

message 17: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth felt bad. What if the bowtruckle got scared of her and run away. Delilah said he usually stayed with her. "Great" Elizabeth told herself "I'm finnaly talking to another human being and this happens". She let the tought go and turned back to Delilah "I'm sure he's not far away from here. Let's look for him"

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Lilah nodded, looking around, "He probably must've landed somewhere away when I fell, and went lost. Where could he be..." She muttered. At the moment her only intention was to find her lifelong friend. Along with that, she hated that she had brought someone else into her problem, but felt really grateful that Elizabeth agreed to help her.

message 19: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth bent down, starting to look after Alex, hitting people's legs by accidet. They were mumbling angrily at her and looking at her as if she was crazy. That didn't matter to her. She never really cared about people's opinion. She just wanted to find Alex so she could see Delilah smiling again. She didn't know why, but she felt like she would do anything to see the smile again.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments After ten minutes of looking at every nook and cranny, she sighed, "How about we split up? There is greenery in both directions, and Bowtruckles find greenery more familiar. Just call for me if you find him, okay?" She asked an ounce of worry in her eyes.

((I ship them too much-))

message 21: by Potato (new)

Potato "Alright... I will" Elizabeth said and she turned around to look for Alex. As she was getting further from Delilah, she remember she was initially going to the library to read. Screw the library, this was better. "I can't belive I prefer looking for a bowtruckle insted of reading." she said to herself, but thinking about Delilah made her smile. This was definitly better then reading.

((I know, right? They're just so cute... ))

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah turned the other way, looking around for her bowtruckle. She for sure was insanely worried for her bowtruckle, as he was the only thing he felt the most at ease with. Elizabeth, the name ran through her mind so fast she almost missed it. 'She was willing to help a total stranger like me out of nowhere, not hesitating even once.' The thought made her feel happy. A small smile formed on her face.

---------
A small squeak, very very feeble sound passed through the air around Elizabeth. And for a few moments, it went silent.

((They are!))

message 23: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth turned quickly. She heard something. She looked around looking for Alex. "Little bowtruckle!" she called, realising how lame this sounded. She didn't know how to call a bowtruckle so she kept yelling "Little bowtruckle! Alex!" Eventually she saw him hiding behind a bush. She approached carefully. What was she suppose to do now? She was afraid that if she went closer Alex would get scared and run away. She couldn't go find Delilah either because maybe Alex would leave this spot until they cama back. She took another step and said "It,s ok, I don't want to hurt you. I just want to get you back at Lilah." At Delilah's nickname Alex becomed more confident and he approached. Beth picked himup carefully, pround of herself and they left, looking for Delilah.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments The bowtruckle was squeaking something at Elizabeth as if thanking her for finding him.

Delilah cam into view. She was looking around vigorously, not noticing Elizabeth and Alex. Just as the bowtruckle caught view of his owner, he started squeaking loudly. But not loud enough to get her attention from afar.

message 25: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth saw Delilah and smiled. She hurried toward her, holding the bowtruckle tightly. "Lilah!" she said loudly, hoping the girl heard her. She rushed between the people on the hallway without taking her eyes off Delilah. "Lilah!" she said again.

message 26: by Rose [Champagne problems] (last edited Jun 14, 2021 11:39PM) (new)

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah heard Elizabeth's voice calling her, looking up and her vision tunneled, looking at the girl and her tiny bowtruckle, her eyes widened, walking to them hurriedly, a growing smile on her face.

message 27: by Potato (new)

Potato "I found him!" Elizabeth said when she got near Delilah. "He was hiding behind a bush." When she saw the smile on Delilah's face she thought that the smile was the most beautiful thing she ever saw.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments She took the bowtruckle from her and hugged him tightly, placing him back on her shoulder. She turned to Elizabeth with the biggest smile on her face, "I-i can't thank you enough!" She smiled, wrapping her arms around her, tacking her in a huge, warm hug.

message 29: by Potato (new)

Potato Elizabeth froze. What was she supposed to do now? "Hug her back you dump indiot" she told herself and placed her hands on Delilah's back. "No... no problem!" She wanted the hug to last forever, but she didn't intend to look like a creep so she broke off the hug. "I-uh... I hope we could meet again...sometime... maybe at the Yule Ball or... around here...?"

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments Delilah let go, much to her disappointment which she hid, smiling and nodding happily, "Of course we can meet again! Let's meet up at the Yule ball okay?" She asked, not bothering to hide her excitement.

message 31: by Potato (new)

Potato "Of course!" Elizabeth said, smiling with her whole face "I can't wait to meet you there!" She didn't even really wanted to go at the Yule Ball before this, but now she couldn't wait for it. Beth didn't want to leave but she knew she had to. "See you at the Yule Ball!"

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments 'She has a beautiful smile.' Delilah thought, a light blush on her face. She took a moment to give her a good look, smiling. "See you! And by the way, I love your hair." She winked, giggling as she walked away. After a distance you could hear her telling Alex to never do that again.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments * 'she has a beautiful smile. And such lovely hair.' Delilah thought

message 34: by Potato (new)

Potato Beth looked at Delilah as she was walking away. "Did she just tell me she loves my hair?" she thought and blushed. Why was she feeling like this? She smiled to herself and left to the library. There were just a few days until the Yule Ball. She was going to count them.

Rose [Champagne problems] | 34 comments ((ahh I just love these two...))
