I just watched the first episode. That was certainly highly entertaining and quite surprisingly very Terry Gilliam-ish with the visual an satirical humour.
So far the time travel mechanic narratively holds but only uh... time will tell if it can hold the complexity to the end!

correct me if I am wrong but isn't the point of GoodREADS to focus on books, not television series, especially those that not everyone gets

Jeff, by all means just stick to enjoying book related threads and don't click on threads that either annoy you or those that you deem have no relevance and let other members enjoy contributing and sharing their thoughts in this friendly group in ways they feel is relevant, regardless.
Moderators of this group approves the different media discussions on time travel with books being the priority threads and that is that.
If you explore the world of forums, you will find that most forums branches off into sub-forums of different subject interests to the main focus, effectively binding members on various interests without sacrificing the main purpose of the forums.
Perhaps you might like to have a "Rants and rave" thread where you can post such a rant :)
With that, I hope you understand and at least enjoying the time travel book threads!

Thanks for that, Celso! I copied your post into the "Non Time travel TV series with time travel episodes" thread.

I look forward to watching that when I next subscribe to Prime!

Caught up with the four episodes shown so far and it continues to be absolutely brilliant and innovative. Main concept reminds me of a group read on Isaac Asimov's End of Eternity. I am sure there is some influence of that here. I think there are two more episodes to go to complete this mini series storyline.
Having completed the season this was an amazingly satisfying time travel series that put so much thought in explaining all the elements of the series core mechanics with such thoroughness, and doing so with supreme level of entertainment, humour and drama. These Marvel film/TV show makers are constantly knocking it out of the park.
And I am even more certain that Asimov's End of Eternity (a past group read) was an influence!

Disney Plus have delivered superb content so far with WandaVision being my favourite series and now we have Loki featuring A LOT of time travel it appears.
I havent started watching this just yet but I am excited for it once I have finished watching Tales of the Loop on Amazon Prime, then i will switch my subscription to Disney Plus again (i only subscribe to one service at a time, every month...very cost effective and i still get to see what I want!)
Any of you watched the first two Loki episodes released so far?
