Personality
Alex can be responsible, patient, ambitious, humble, resourceful and loyal, but she can also be, dictatorial, distrusting, and unimaginative. She might seem melancholy and stern, but that’s because she lives by self-discipline and responsibility. She evaluates everything and doesn’t take daring chances without weighing the advantages and disadvantages first. It is the serious drive and structured way of life that she feels safe with. Alex likes to do everything herself. This way, there is no worry about something not finished or not done properly. It is all about control of her surroundings and her daily life. According to her, there is only a right way and a wrong way to do things and this idea makes her closed minded, stubborn and reluctant to agree with others.
Every step she takes, every move she makes is always based off of logic, and her way of thinking. With emotions out of the picture, she does things how she thinks they need to be done, regardless of whether they are moral, or immoral. She has no sense of wrong or right; simply a sense of what is logical, and what is illogical. Her actions can sometimes lead to many believing she is cruel, when in reality, she is simply doing what makes the most sense. She can seem distant, and cold, but that is something that is out of her control, since she is unable to understand how this might deeply hurt or conflict with someone around her. The only bright side is that she still has a sense of humor, and is willing to sacrifice her logical way of thinking to have some fun every now and then.
Hobbies: Reading, cooking, jogging.
Skills: Is a great chef and currently works as the cook at a small restaurant.
History
Born in Lawrence, Kansas, growing up she always dreamed of being a famous cook, and has always had a knack for cooking various things, as well as writing her own cookbooks. She met a great guy her senior year of high school, and half way through college, they were engaged. She finished college with her culinary degree, and was about to pursue her career. But that all went downhill when her husband grew worse and worse, and began beating her. Before she was changed by her robotic enhancements, she was a kind, bubbly, elusive, and a little shy. She usually kept to herself most of the time. But after the domestic violence, and nearly dying from it all, she’s changed quite a lot. She still has her sense of humor, and knows when and when not to have fun. But she’s been scarred, not only physically, but mentally. After the operation caused her to lose her sense of emotions, she became almost exactly like any other robot walking around, the only difference being that she still has a basic concept of feelings, such as confusion, or curiosity. But nothing deeply emotional such as loss, love, or hate. (Most of her history is shown above)
Family: Was a single child, and adopted. Her adopted parents died in a tragic accident while she was in the hospital. She knows of no other relatives.
My character profile might take a while. lol

No it's fine he's great! If you want you can add you're own history or just roleplay it later :) he is your character after all! So would you like me to start? I was thinking we could start with him just now moving in or something, and she happens to be showing up after a jog. I might not be able to post for a while tho cuz I'm at work and I only get a fifteen minute break :(
You can start if you want! And that's fine! :3
((Alright here we go...))Alex panted slightly as she made her second round around the block, her legs pumping long strokes, eating up the ground in front of her. Her robotic leg made small rhythmic kshh... kshh...kshh... sounds each time she took a step, her arm doing the same with each swing but it was less noticeable, and only really heard when she was running. She had been living here long enough to where people grew use to seeing her on the streets, especially after the string of media attention she had received after the operation was over. Living in such a small city though helped, especially since people didn't go insane every time they saw her or other famous people walking around, not that there were ever any. She didn't see herself as famous, just unfortunate. As she rounded the corner, passing Little Horton's, the restaurant she worked at, it only took a few more minutes for her to arrive at her apartment. She slowed to a walk, panting a little harder now that she had stopped running, and plucked out her ear buds, stuffing them back into her pocket along with her music device. It was an old, run down iPod, but it made no difference to her as long as it played music. She drew in a deep breath and let it out as a sigh as she plucked out her ID card for the building. She swiped it across the scanner, and three small beeps emitted from the door as it swooshed open. She quickly stepped inside, walking over to the many mailboxes that were against one wall of the lobby, which had grey carpeted floors, and boring white walls. She waved towards the receptionist at the opposite side of the mailboxes, pulling out her key and stepping towards her box. Even though technology had advanced over the past few decades, the use of paper and pen was still known, though it wasn't used as often as other devices. Alex however, was old school; she had a sort of attraction to old things, and she wasn't really sure why. Maybe it was just because her arm and leg were reminder enough of the technological advances. She didn't ponder the thought for long as she opened the box, pulling out her mail. She shut the box once more, and began sifting through her mail.
Ashton stood in the isle, scanning each shelf for the right product. "Ah, mandarin oranges. These will be perfect for my salad." Ash said quietly to himself before grabbing the package. Ashton looked down at the list that he was holding and crossed off the oranges. "Hm....I just need a few more things for dinner, so I can get out of here." Ashton went through each and every isle and picked up the things he needed. Ash dodged and weaved through the people in order to get to a cashier. "Good evening miss." Ashton said warmly to the cashier. The young lady smiled and scanned his items. "The total is thirty-seven dollars and sixty-six cents." Ash nodded and rummaged through his coat pockets to find his wallet. He checked his back pocket, and to his delight, he found his leather wallet. He opened it up and pulled out the right amount. "Here you go, ma'am." He smiled and sheepishly handed the cashier the right amount. The cashier carefully bagged the items and handed him the receipt. "Thank you sir, and have a good day." He nodded and carried the bags outside to his car. Ash opened the back door and put the groceries in. He hopped into the front seat and turned on the car. "I can't wait to try this salad tonight. I hope the recipe is good." He drove off down the road towards his apartment. He pulled into a parking space outside of the complex and he turned his car off. "Oh, I better check for mail too, before I go up." Ash said quietly to himself as he pulled the groceries out and walked into the building. He smiled and strode to the side wall where the mail boxes were, and he gently opened his. He noticed a lady looking at her mail and he smiled.
((I'm kind of new to doing paragraphs, so I sincerely apologize for any lack of detail.))
((Oh no don't even worry about it c: You'll get used to it I'm sure :D))Alex continued sifting through her mail, so focused on the simple task she had barely notice the man walk up. She blinked now, looking over as he smiled, and returned it, though it was sort of just to be polite. She didn't recognize him which was also a first; she personally knew most of the people in the apartment building, and so this was a surprise. Maybe he moved into that vacant place across the hall from me, she thought, tilting her head to one side as she studied him a moment, lost in thought. "You're new here," she said, as a fact rather than a question, since she was already sure of the answer. She stopped her rifling through the mail as she looked at him now. It seemed strange that he had yet to mention her questionable appearance, what with her arm and leg and all. But perhaps he simply didn't notice, which seemed peculiar to her, since most everyone noticed that fact about her first. She was sure how to react in that type of situation of course, and didn't mind the awkward stares by now. This new guy had officially peaked her interest.
((Don't feel like you have to write the same amount as me, just write how you feel it needs to be written in order to convey you're character the way you want him to be c:))
Ashton glanced over at her and smiled coyly. "I just moved in today, actually." He chuckled and looked through his mail for anything important.
Alex nodded a bit, her gaze never leaving him. "And you are alone," she said simply. "I suppose you've hired help to move your things?" she wondered, tilting her head to one side. "Otherwise, I wouldn't mind lending hand," she said. With nothing better to do until her shift tonight at work, it only seemed logical to aid in his move, if he was alone. There was no possible way he could do it all alone.
"I couldn't afford to hire anybody, actually." He looked down sheepishly. "If you want to help, that would be amazing." He smiled and looked at her.
Alex gave another quick nod, though she did not return the smile; a flicker of amusement passed through her eyes however at his sheepish confession. "How much left have you got to move?" she asked, tilting her head to one side. She actually figured the load would still be plenty since he had just moved in today; which meant a lot of hauling things around.
"I've already moved a decent amount of the boxes, but there are just a few in my living room that need to be put into the storage room." He looked at her and rubbed his neck.
Alex nodded a bit at that, giving him another amused look. "Well, then I suppose we should get started; lead the way," she said, motioning towards the elevator that was on the other side of the lobby a little ways past the receptionist.
"Oh, sure thing." He smiled gratefully and picked up his grocery bags. "I appreciate you offering to help. I've been so busy with adjusting to this area, that I haven't had time to finish moving things around." He smiled and walked with Alex to the elevator across the lobby.

This is preferably sometime in the future where robots and androids are an everyday thing, as is pretty much everyone owns one, and it starts with this girl (not sure her name yet) who marries this guy whom she thinks is really nice, and caring, but after a while he becomes mean, and abusive, and eventually it gets to the point where he's constantly abusive to her. She's not the kind of person to stand up to things like that, but after a while, she can't take it anymore, and decides to fight back. She ends up getting badly hurt, and barely survives.
At this point she's completely broken, and close to death. Her husband was of course sent to jail, but not before literally damaging several of her body parts, as well as her heart. She has lost all feeling in her left arm and leg, and can no longer move them; doctors claim they will never heal. Her lung was damaged as well. The only reason she's alive is thanks to the advanced technology, and her doctor, whom has been working hard to figure out a way to help her.
A few years pass with no hope of her getting any better. But unknowing to her, her doctor has been developing a way to give her a normal life. He proposes the idea of giving her robotic limbs, as well as repairing the damage to her heart and lung through the use of mechanical functions. There is a risk she won't survive the procedure, but she says yes of course.
So after going through the procedure she survives, and is now part human, part robotic. The only problem is she's different, changed somehow. The reason why, which her doctor hadn't realized, is because when he designed the arm and leg, he was faced with the problem of her being able to control it, so in order for her to control the limbs, he had to find a way to connect them to the part of her brain that involves motor function, forcing him to extend the mechanical parts along her spine to connect to the brain so that she could move her limbs, as well as subconsciously functioning her newly repaired heart and lung, which are also part mechanical.
In an attempt to do this, he somehow flipped a switch in her brain, and now she is virtually unemotional. She can feel pain and confusion and curiosity, but things that are deeper like love, or hate have escaped her. She does things based on logic, not on how she feels.
Unable to correct this problem, and blaming himself for doing it to her, her doctor kills himself, and all his work has gone missing, making it impossible to recreate someone else who's part robotic without starting from scratch, making her the only half robot, half human in existence. Many attempts have been made to recreate it, but all have failed with the patients dying on the operating table.
Now, being the only one of her kind, so to speak, she lives alone in a small apartment (haven't decided where exactly but probably a small city), and a new guy moves in, taking an interest in her. She doesn't understand why, but eventually he begins to like her... a lot. The big question is, can love overcome what her doctor did to her, and somehow allow her to have emotions again? Or will she forever be unable to love?
