What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hi,
I'm trying to find a book my Mom and I read in the last ten years. In the book a husband and wife (I believe they are in England) find out their retirement savings are far less than they thought. The wife is sad because she was dreaming of new red furniture. Meanwhile, Grandpa is chatting online with a woman who thinks he is much younger. Grandma accidently puts the TV remote in the mail, causing chaos for the entire family who all blame each other. There is a scene at the beach where the wife gives away the sandwich she made specifically for the husband. I believe she meets her favorite author at the grocery store but I might be mistaken on that point.
Any ideas would be so appreciated!!

I remember at the end there is a scene where one of the family members just happens to be at the post office and sees the remote and realizes that was what led to all the confusion.

No response from Becky but this seems to be the right book. I confirmed a red velvet sofa, Grandpa puts the remote in a mailbox, a wife gives away a sandwich on a beach.
