Two boys, alone in space.

After the first settler on Titan trips her distress signal, neither remaining country on Earth can afford to scramble a rescue of its own, and so two sworn enemies are installed in the same spaceship.

Ambrose wakes up on the Coordinated Endeavor, with no memory of a launch. There’s more that doesn’t add up: Evidence indicates strangers have been on board, the ship’s operating system is voiced by his mother, and his handsome, brooding shipmate has barricaded himself away. But nothing will stop Ambrose from making his mission succeed—not when he’s rescuing his own sister.

In order to survive the ship’s secrets, Ambrose and Kodiak will need to work together and learn to trust one another… especially once they discover what they are truly up against. Love might be the only way to survive

(view spoiler)[So far I’m really liking this situation but a small part of me is linking it to illuminae ? If I’m not mistaken an AI is involved in that book too, not sure about details but my limited imagination tells me not much fiction can be invented about an AI in the middle of space lol.
I love the characters, they’re funny in different ways, I wish Kodiak was a little less distant but also am enjoying how slowly Ambrose unravels him.
I was hoping they would find Minerva, but it was just revealed that they may be like 140 years into the future and that maybe Minerva isn’t where they thought she was? So what’s the purpose really :/
I am deeply hoping they are still on earth in some abandoned facility due to the war and that somehow someone gets to them in the end, in spite of being funny and entertaining, I can’t imagine settling for an ending that basically means they’re the only ones left in the universe. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[this is insane!! It threw them into space and then SOMEHOW retrieved them and made it look like they’d just began their journey! That means they COULD actually be way more than a 140 years into the future (taking into consideration they may be traveling at light speed and so they’re not growing old at normal rates) and Minerva is definitely dead, and Earth might be dead too, the question is why? Does OS have the need to have humans to manipulate ? All I’m taking is that those boys are alone in space so they’re more likely to stay on the ship and need OS so why doesn’t it just let them in on whatever secret it is hiding from them? I agree that I'm really worried about them, are they just out in space somewhere? They did a space walk, but it could be a simulation maybe (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I feel so bad that Kodiak went insane like that but it’s of course expected, I guess that’s why they were never told they were clones and all because they weren’t going to live to reach this planet and there was no need to just upset them by letting them know they are clones, but I’m curious as to have the previous clones all also discovered the truth or part of it anyway or what? End of part 5 (view spoiler)[ I thought they were closer to the planet then they were. Sad that Kodiak died and Ambrose decided to die too.

I really really hope the last clones make it on the new planet. Do they have dna for other humans? They must because otherwise, they can't repopulate or anything. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ I'm glad they established themselves on the planet and now have a child. I guess they'll end up raising at least a dozen children in their lives, but there's hope for humanity.

(view spoiler)[this was such a wholesome ending, giving so much hope for the rest of the humans that are to come! I hated the things that they went through, but the previous clones actually did well, and it was so satisfying that they got the chance to grow and live a full life, in their kind of meaning. And this set of clones was so lucky to end up being the ones to make up the inheritance of humanity. I guess I’m very emotional about this book but in short it was so satisfying and wholesome and I loved it! (hide spoiler)]

I thought about that for a long long time actually, I guess he decided to die because after almost twenty years together and being so in love with Kodiak and understanding that they are alone in space and there is nothing else for him and fearing that he might go insane being alone, the best thing for him at that time was to just let go, especially knowing that there will be another set of clones to finish the mission and ensure the fate of humanity

The cover is super gorgeous it’s what got me in it the first place but it’s so good I barely could put it down

what just happened! i'm sure they will somehow survive because they're our main characters but i'm not sure how. why the OS want them dead! now there are no one to help her go to titan (if that is really the mission) unless there are other humans in comas on the ship. like the body they found might have figured out the OS is lying and hiding things so it killed him. i'm so confused.

and apparently they are 143 years in the future which means minerva is dead and all the things the OS has told them is a lie.

i'm really loving this. it's so sad what is happening to them, they have no way out of this. i forgot about the radiation in the control room and how fast it will kill them. why would Ambrose mother do this to him, i want to know what the mission is and if the OS is planning on letting the last clones live or also kill them.

Kodiak lost his mind, i feel so sad for him. now i understand why they don't want them to know they are clones, no one will believe they are.

this was so good. now they will have to raise hundreds of kids together.
i feel so sad for all the clones who died before the last ones, what they went through is horrible but i get why the OS did what it did. i was happy that clones #13 got to have a life together and grow old, i teared up when Ambrose left a message saying Kodiak is dead now so he's gonna kill himself.

(view spoiler)[ This book I have so many emotions for this book. Part Two is were we finally realise some things and what is happening but holly hell this was a lot. Clones in space and to fake expedition just so they can be motivated. They were like lets get two teens and make copy of them and send it to space on fake expedition so they can fix ship until final location. When I started this I din't expect this but I will not like I freaking love it. You basically root for them to survive and have happy life with each other and every time you clone die I wanted to sry like why you do this to me. And ending, uf ending was everything they finally have each other and new familly who they will create. (hide spoiler)]
