☆★★★★ = This is nearly the greatest thing ever invented, but not there yet.
☆☆★★★ = Had Problems. . . didn't work out that great for me
☆☆☆★★ = I could've thrown this in the trash. . . but didn't, so some tiny little part was good
☆☆☆☆★ = This is the worst thing ever invented, it's a absolute piece of trash

★★★★★ : This is literally the most amazing thing I have ever read; I will reread it over and over again because I love it so much
☆★★★★ : I really enjoyed reading this book, but there were a few things that could have been improved upon
☆☆★★★ : This was okay; I’ve read better but also read worse
☆☆☆★★ : It wasn’t great, but it managed to keep my interest and not all elements were bad
☆☆☆☆★ : This was downright awful; reading this book was a waste of time

* - why was this written? i literally did not enjoy reading this at all. the only time i smiled was when the main character was suffering.
** - reading this was a waste of time but the book wasn’t offensive, it was just bad.
*** - wouldn’t reread or recommend but it wasn’t at all bad.
**** - i liked this book! you should read it!
***** - wow! that was great! i loved it and would reread!

1 star: You are the worst thing ever and I hate you
2 star: I didn’t really like you
3 star: You were okay
4 star: You were great!
5 star: You were so amazing and now hold a piece of my soul

1 star: I REALLY did not like this (ie. it was offensive, SUPER horribly written, etc.)
2 star: I did not care for it
3 star: It was enjoyable. This is kind of the base line for me.
4 star: I REALLY enjoyed it!
5 star: I COULDN'T stop and now I can't stop thinking about it after I've finished.

5 stars: the only rating I give ;-; what can I say I’m nice lol

I wish they added half stars, it would be so much easier to rate books that way
