Caitlyn reaches out to her twin sister, Kelly, and is never able to reach her directly other than via email or voice mail messages. When did you start to think that Kelly might not be real? Did your opinion change as you progressed through the book?

I realized quite early on that Caitlyn was suffering from some sort of mental illness. That said, I didn't cotton on to the MPD until later in the book when Kelly emerges with Adam. This was really creepy and did not contribute to the romance at all!

I agree with Lauren the scene with Adam was creepy.

In the beginning I bought into the twin who traveled. I thought Caitlyn was a little jealous of Kelly's independence. I suspected something was off a little before the Adam reveal though. I'm not sure what triggered me to think about MPD other than it was an easy solution for the author to explain Caitlyn's crazy actions and thoughts.

Early in the book when it was brought out that no one else had had contact with Kelly since the accident and Caitlyn had extensive blackouts with no memories, I instantly thought split personality.

I didn't catch on till quite late that Caitlyn was the only one in contact with Kelly. As we've discussed before in the thread that relationship between Adam a therapist and Caitlyn a patient was just wrong.

For some reason or another, I figured out Kelly wasn’t real from the start when she couldn’t reach her, never had a phone call where they were both on the line and were never in the same room. No one even mentioned her name. I thought she had MPD as soon as I learned about the boat explosion.

Immediately, which aggravated me. I hate it when writers use this as a plot device.

I'm always so impressed with you guys! I did guess about Kelly's death and the MPD before it was revealed (I was pleased with myself to see that. I'm usually so bad at guessing things). However, it was maybe one chapter before it was revealed. I guessed that Kelly was dead, and then the interaction with Detective Reed - when she slams the door in my face - confirmed my suspicions. I was able to go back in the book and see more of the clues once I figured it out.

Hannah, we just read too many of these things😏 I would LOVE to be stumped.

I would love to be stumped too. I an guessing way to many of these things. It's not fun.

Maybe I should be glad I'm so bad at it. I do hope you guys get to enjoy some of the suspense.

I'm with you Hannah. I'm always impressed that others in the group guess the culprit, while I'm sitting back thinking how did they get there so fast.
