As I said, this entire family and all of the twisted incestuous relationship were very disturbing. Considering the abuse that Caitlyn and her sisters suffered, it is not at all surprising that Amanda turned out to be a sociopath and Caitlyn has MPD/DID.
It is a sick family. When we learn about Cameron, it felt like a typical southern family joke. All the abuse and incest was too much.
The author was really pushing the crazy Southern family theme with these revelations. Funnily enough this part didn't bother me as it seemed really fictional and part of the story. IRL of course, no go!!!

It all bugged me. This was just nuts. How did this family still maintain respectability in the town but Copper’s children were looked down upon? It actually made me a little angry because there’s a bit of truth to the circumstances. Wealth beats out everything.
Ugly mess - and with very little development of the characters, I had trouble feeling anything for them.

So unfair that the legitimate family had respectability and the illegitimate family didn't. Money speaks. And, being from the South, I can see that actually happening in real life. Especially with the mother completely ignoring the whole situation.
I found the ick factor awful! But, I actually thought it might be continued in the younger generation, as I thought Troy was the one sleeping with Sugar. I was surprised that it was Ian. (I wasn't surprised that Ian had an affair. I just didn't see it as Sugar.)
