I read this book earlier this year for another book club, and I recall my expectations for it was some mix of Hunger Games with the Handmaid's Tale with magic. I figured there were going to be feminist themes in the book, and I curious on how the author would address those topics. I am excited to hear what the rest of this thread will talk about when we've all read the book.

The Grace Year was nominated for the Goodreads Choice Award for Young Adult Fiction in 2019, and is Liggett's most recent novel. In the book, girls are sent into the wilds to rid themselves of their dangerous magic before returning to society.
Have you read any books by Kim Liggett before? If so, did you like them? What are your expectations for this book?
