Maurice by E.M. Forster

Sarah Rigg | 140 comments I re-read this in 2008. I read it first in summer 1989. It's a very easy and fun read, probably one of Forster's most accessible and least pretentious. So sad that the theme of homosexual love kept it from being published until after Forster died. I give it a 4-star because I like it so much more than for the literary merit. (view spoiler)

Sarah Rigg | 140 comments I like this for a diversity read because it hits two diversity themes: LGBTQ and social class.

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) I'm planning on reading it! After I finish Jazz.

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) It has a very satisfying ending! I liked it because it is a good story. I was expecting more of a literary read, too.

Michaela | 187 comments I´m on holidays atm, and will only get the book afterwards. Looking ahead to it!

Michaela | 187 comments Finally came to read it, and liked it very well, though (view spoiler) I think it´s not only about homosexuality, though more in the end than before, than also about growing up, friends, loneliness, perhaps all coming from his finding out about his "Greek love".
