Dean walked in and threw his stuff on his bed. Jupiter hopped up on the mattress and fell asleep almost immediately.
"Thanks." He walked over to Marty's cage and picked up the hedgehog. "This is Marty. His spikes change colors based on his mood."
"He's tired. Hedgehogs are actually nocturnal and pretty antisocial animals, but I have some unusual animals. Marty loves attention." He handed Marty to her and sat on his bed, staring at his mural wall.
Marty's spikes turned a dark maroon color. "Well, he likes you." He got up and grabbed a paint brush and a bottle of black paint and started adding to his wall.
"Yep. His spikes turned maroon. It means affection. Still dark, though, so he's probably gonna fall asleep in your hands. You can grab his blanket if you want. He likes to be wrapped up in it."
"Next to his cage." Dean pointed to the fuzzy green blanket next to Marty's cage.
"Yep." He grabbed a few different colors of paint and started mixing them together.
"You don't have to sit on the floor. You can sit on my bed if you want."
He finished the painting and sat at the other end of the bed.
"Almost five. He sheds a lot as you can probably tell by the insane amount of dog hair everywhere."
"I don't really care tho. Jupiter's a good dog."
"Yeah." He looked at Jupiter who was asleep with his tongue sticking out
"I did. I don't want my parents money."
"Yeah. I can give you the address of the place I bought Marty from if u want."
"Either one. The only difference really is ones a guy and ones a girl. Their equally social and have similar personalities. It just depends on the hedgehog."
"Probably but you don't have to if you don't want to. He likes sight seeing."
Dean got up and turned on a orange light in the corner of his room
"Jupiter. I trained him to recognize different lights so he doesn't freak out when I leave him alone."
"My dog also has short term memory loss. It was pretty easy tho. Other than the fact he kept falling asleep and forgetting everything."
"Fine by me. You okay with that Marty?" Marty didn't move. "Imma take that as a yes. Yep its fine."
He locked it and turned the sign so it said 'do not knock. Sleeping dog (and hedgehog)'
He shrugged. "Jupiter freaks out when someone knocks and it wakes him up so I just made a sign so people would stop knocking."
He shoved his hands in his pockets and walked next to Alex
"Its pretty cool how you can to that. Just change what you look like whenever you fell like it."
"Great for spying on people and pranking them."
"I spy on people by turning into birds sometimes." He admitted
"Just random people. I didnt know anyone."
"Yeah. Youre the only person Ive actually talked to."
