Historical Fictionistas discussion

Interesting to read "The Riddle of The Sands" written over 100 years ago. I'm sure today's editors would be very critical at the amount of detail and information dumps but he may not have had an editor then.
It was read because the author was an IRA hero of the Irish War of Independence and was executed in 1922.
