y’all’s votes have picked the contemporary book club read: late to the party by kelly quindlen! this is a young adult coming of age contemporary featuring a lesbian main character. personally i think it’s an amazing book, and i hope y’all will join us in reading and feel the same way!

I just picked this up from the library and I'm sooo excited to read it

oh yeah okay. kjsdhgkjahsdg so i read this today and it was good? i think? i dont even know. basically the first chapter made me enraged with the alloness in the way that it said you cant be happy if you dont find romantic love. and also that jakory's mum was divorced and so she was So Lonely and he didnt want her to be alone forever and then idk. kjagdfjkahfv so yeah. that made me mad and now i dont know what i think of the book as a whole because that was on my mind the entire way through. i think 3.5 - 4.5 stars though.

i think a few other things bothered me too but i cant remember what they are lmao
