The winners have been announced:https://www.shirleyjacksonawards.org
Stephen Graham Jones won best novel for The Only Good Indians, which we read as a monthly read.
Kathe Koja's Velocities won best single-author collection; it was another of our monthly reads!
Of the nominees for single-author collection, I've read the Koja and Kay Chronister. I've tried to read the JD Scott and Mike Allen collections, but didn't finish either. (I'm not a John Harrison fan, and don't plan to read his nominated collection.)
Of the 2020 collections I've read, I think Patricia Tillie's The Cuckoo Girls is more interesting than those four Jackson nominees. I also liked Marcel Brion's Waystations of the Deep Night.

Given the website's recent practices, that page will probably disappear in a matter of weeks, sigh.
We read the two novelettes from the Valancourt anthology in Feb.:

We also read Kathe Koja's Velocities last November:

And Shadows & Tall Trees Vol. 8:

I've also read the Kay Chronister collection, and Tiny Nightmares: Very Short Stories of Horror. All uneven but with points of interest. I might check out other nominees soon.
