A Selection discussion

Aline made her way to her room. But as soon asshe closed the door, she broke down And cried and cried. She missed her mom her dad and Liam
No one was there to comfort her. She didnt even know why she came here

She hoped somone would come in, comfort her but no one did. She couldntblame tem ofc.
She sniffed and tried to stop crying. But it didnt work

Adelaide was sweeping when she heard crying. She knocked on the door.

She sniffed and said come in in a feeble voice. In came a maid. Aline had never seen her before but she looked kind

"Are you okay, miss?" Adelaide made her way to the girl, putting a hand on her shoulder. "What's your name?"

"Aline" she sniffed out. "I just miss my mom. I've never been away from her. And i really dont want to be here. I came here as a favour to a friend"she said remembering the rebels

"I'm sorry. I hope your friend is worth it." Adelaide glanced at the broom she'd left in the doorway, knowing she should get back to work, but not wanting to leave Aline

"Yea I hope the same. Are you busy? i don't want to keep u from ur work" she said biting her lip. she didn't want the maid to leave her, but she didn't want to be the reason she got in trouble

"I think I can stay a little longer."

She smiled at her. "Thank you. What is your name?" She asked

Adelaide smiled back. "It's Adelaide."

"That is a beautiful name" she said smiling. She felt herself distracted from her sadness. "Where are you from?"

"Thank you, you're so sweet! Before I came here I lived out in the country.My family grew peaches. What about you?

"Im a 4. I grew up in the north. I love peaches" she grinned

"I'll bring you a peach the next time we get a shipment." Adelaide grinned. "Have you had peach cobbler? Or peach pie? It was rare back home, but they make it often here."

"OMG thank you! Yes I lovee peach pie. My mom makes the best ones" she sighed thinking about it ."Do u cook Adelaide?"

Adelaide perked up, completely forgetting about cleaning. "I do! When I have the chance that is."

"Thats awesome! Im a very bad cook,"she laughed

Adelaide laughed. "We all have are weaknesses. To be honest I'm not a very good cleaner."

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. YOu should teach me once, so i can finally cook eggs for my mom"she laughed

"I definitely will when I get a bit of free time. If I skip my morning run I could give you a lesson tomorrow? But you'd have to wake up at 5:00."

She blinked at her. She had never expected her to accept. people usually avoided her. But she was glad Adelaide had said okay.
"Thats a bit early isn't it"she grinned. "But I accept"

Adelaide clapped her hands in excitement. "It'll totally be worth waking up early for!"

She smiled at her enthusiasm "I'll be looking forward. Thank you fro keeping me company. You're a really nice person Adelaide"

"So I've been told. " She dreadfully looked at her broom. I should probably get back to cleaning. See you tomorrow bright and early!"

"Bye!" she smiled as she left. Aline felt better

Adelaide waved before disappearing down the hallway.

Kyle carefully opens the door to Aline's room, tenderly assisting her inside.

Aline sat down on the couch as Kyle helped her in. "Will you keep me company for sometime?" She asked then turned red. She hoped he wanted to

Kyle blushes. "Yes, I can stick around for a bit. My next shift doesn't start for about an hour." he says, taking a seat next to a bookshelf.

She smiled. She didn't know what to talk to him about, but she liked having him around "Soo um..." she blinked. "I honestly dont know what to talk" she laughed

Kyle chuckles. "Tell me more about yourself, perhaps?"

"Ok so Im Aline, as you know. Im a 4 and I live with my mom. I eat a lot of chocolate" she grinned and said "if you don't like chocolate we can't get along"

Kyle smiles at her. "I will never pass up something sweet," he says, his cheeks flushing pink. He quickly composes himself. "Well, I was born and raised here in the palace. I became a guard when I was 14, which is amazingly young for a royal guard. That's really just about as exciting as my life gets." he says shyly.
