Books Matter discussion

This can be really hard for authors (like me OMG), but I figured all you bookworms could help us out. How this will work is an author will give you a little description of their book, and we will put books we think are similar. so hopefully I understand how this works.
My book was released in July. It is called Seventh Generation and it is about a young man coming to grips with the death of his mother and learning about his place in an ancient prophecy.
I would be interested to know what books you all may think sound similar. I can provide a slightly longer blurb if wanted.

Yes, this is how this topic works! I hear the book Legendborn deals with legends of King Arther coming to life. Am I wrong? I haven’t read it yet. Anyway, that might be a comp. Not sure, though

Wow, that is amazing. Congratulations! May I ask who your agent is, if you have one?

I actually don’t have an agent , I submitted directly to the publisher. They are a small nidi press but they were totally professional and great to work with. They covered all the cost including the editor and cover illustrator etc. i get a pretty far split on sales.

That’s great to hear! I’m going to query agents, but if I don’t get one, I might submit unsolicited to publishers. I’ll just have to see.
