Cobie had quickly disengaged her hand from Bella's, and she was almost snappish as she pulled her from the room. But she was hungry, so she kept her mouth shut.
((okay. I will try to be here but if not we can do this tomorrow morning?))

"So we need a list of ingredients, they have to have stationary around here."
Bella look around the kitchen searching for pen and paper

((it's okay!))Cobie was gaping at the kitchen. She'd been in a kitchen of a two family when she was younger, but this? This was insane. Impressive, shiny machinery and fridges. And she had no idea how to use any of it. "What? Oh, uh..." She looked around and finally found a notebook. "Here?"
"Thank you Cobie," Answered Bella thankfully. She bent down and started to write the ingredients they would need.

"Okay Cobie you find the first 3 and I will find the rest," directed Bella.
She took the list from Bella and read what she could. It was a little complicated--she had been born a 6, so education was lacking. She'd been taught to read a little later but sometimes she still struggled but wouldn't admit that, especially since she'd falsified he'd Selection form to say she was a 4. "Okay. Um. Yeah, I'll do that." But what was the first word? Lemon and tomato she knew. But the first one she'd never seen. "What's an av--avocado?"
"It's a green fruit that kinda look's like a wired oval." Bella took the pen and drew what it looked like. "Don't worry I didn't know what it was until 4 month's ago. Next time me or you talk to the prince we need to bring up the education for the lower castes."
((GTG finish in the morning?))
"Oh okay." Her cheeks flushed. "Thanks," she muttered. "And yes I agree, this is unfair. And wrong."
She turned with a huff and dug through the fridge until she pulled something out that seemed to follow Bella's description. "Is this it?" She asked, holding it out.
Aviva walked into the kitchens, remembering that some of the selected would be there later in the day. "Mind if I join you?" she asked.
"Oh look, it's the 2," Cobie muttered as she tossed the avocado--she thought it was an avocado anyway--into the air and back again.
Aviva's face flushed "What are you making?" she asked with a level tone, ignoring the comment about her caste
"Food," Cobie answered to be difficult. "But you've probably never made it in your life." ((I feel so bad I'm sorry Cobie's just a jerk to higher castes and honestly most people, I genuinely feel bad for Aviva))
"I happen to cook often" Aviva snapped ((It's fine!))
"Can we not fight and just make a snack?", Bella asked. She had a feeling these girls would never get along.
Cobie shrugged. She had no intention of becoming friends with anyone here, especially a 2. She looked at Aviva. "Well it must make you so happy to be able to have a hobby that others have to do to make money."
"Aviva, Cobie, would you quiz fighting! You do not have to be friends that is extremely apparent it won't happen. So if you're to going fight while we make this you can leave and I will make this myself!," Bella snapped. She never liked to snap at others but she could not take the fighting any longer. Bella took a deep breath and looked at Cobie," Which ingredient do you have there?" remembering Cobie asked her if that was the avocado.
Cobie rolled her eyes at Bella. "I'm not going to stop hammering it home that people in the upper castes have a lot of issues," she snapped. "And whatever this is, the avocado?" She held it up. "But if you want to make it yourself, by all means."
"I don't wanna make it by myself Cobie," Said Bella. "Aviva could you please leave so I can hangout with Cobie?"
Cobie agreed. But she was completely shocked Bella had even said that to Aviva. That seemed like something she would have said, but she was stunned anyway. "Fine. Well here's the avocado, if that's what it is? And wow you're being mean, I'm shocked." Why in the world Bella even wanted to hang out with her she didn't understand.
"I hate when people fight and I don't like being mean. "Bella stammered. Bella looked down at the fruit in Cobie's hand. "Yes that is an Avocado. Why are you shocked?"

"Because you seem so nice and asked Aviva to leave." She smirked. "And good. What do I do with this thing?" She tossed the avocado up and down in her hand. "And here is the lemon and tomato."
'Thank you, could you grab a knife?," Bella asked. "What caste are you?" Bella worked on laying out the ingredients on the counter and getting a cutting board.
"Yep." Cobie grabbed a knife and admired it. She could chop someone's head off in one toss if she tried. She handed it safely to Bella. "Honestly? I've caste jumped." That much was true. "And you?"
"I'm a 5 and I always will be and I'm fine with that," Bella said without any shame. "Could you slice the lemon and the dice the tomato, please." She drizzled olive oil over the tortilla and placed it on a baking sheet.
"So an artist of sorts?" She asked, and then nodded and took the lemon, tomato, and knife back. She worked to dice them in clean cuts, taking care not to slice her fingers.
"Yes. I mostly either dance or paint and read in my free time. Do you read?"
"That sounds pretty neat," she admitted. Her life sounded so different than anything Cobie was used to. "No." She cut the goods more seriously. "I wish I could. I mean I can read a little but I don't have time."
'You wish you could read,?" asked Bella.
"I wish I could read better and I wish I had time to. But I don't and can't."
"Well I could show you if you would like," Bella offered. She slipped the tortilla into the oven to crisp. She then used a knife to cut the avocado open and used a spoon to fill a bowl this its content.
"No it's fine." She didn't need pity or help or anything of the sort even if she wanted to know more. She had enough of people helping her and didn't need to owe anyone else. "Here, they're cut."
"Okay, Thank you," Bella said. She poured the tomato into the smashed avocado and squeezed lemon juice over it. "Are you sure?"
"I'm sure." She leaned against the counter and watched Bella. "Yes," she stated shortly. "You--" She paused. Actually maybe she could suck up her pride once for the sake of what help the reading could accomplish. If she knew she could teach others and the rebels, well, they would have another advantage some people may not expect. "Maybe," she conceded.
"Okay, well when ever you want to start we can," Bella exclaimed. "Okay sprinkle some pepper and salt over the guacamole and I will go get the tortilla."
