Avengers Assemble! discussion

Well, that was way better than I expected.
I had a lot of fun and my grumbles are minor.

I watched this for two reasons:

1) I felt that it was time Black Widow got her own movie. The male characters have so many.
2) I adore Florence Pugh. She Carrie’s such gravitas.

I enjoyed the movie. I wondered if we would see more Yelena?

People grumbled, but this was BW getting the same kind of first movie all the guys got.
As it should be.
and it got bumped from the original schedule because Scarlet was pregnant and that monkey'd with all kinds of filming.

I gotta say, I don't love Yelana.
She has some moments, but knowing we are going to lose Scarlet, it just feels like marvel is trying too hard to make her the next big thing.
She's okay. Has a couple good moments, but it's going to take some serious work to make her 'my' Black Widow.

and, she does come back.

I thought this was a pretty good movie but it felt a little irrelevant in regards to Natasha - releasing post Endgame. It does a good job in introducing Yelena I feel and I like her. Essentially it feels like that is was point- bring in the new Black Widow...
