Headoverheels | 5 comments I'm looking for a Romance reads that are clean but NOT regency romance. I like them to feature a
strong alpha
slow burn
strong/quirky females

I also love enemies to lovers or marriage of conv types.

Anything that I usually like to enjoy is just covered in SMUT and I'm sick of skipping. I want to be able to read a whole book without getting grossed out.

Thank you in advance

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 276 comments You could find authors who belong to this group by looking at 'members' and run through what they've written and see if anything appeals. I'm told it's one of the best and quickest ways of finding what you want.

Lynne Stringer | 173 comments I'm reading Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles at the moment and enjoying them. They might suit.
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer

Also there's the Under the Never Sky trilogy by Veronica Rossi.

You could also try my latest book if you like, The Verindon Alliance.

I would really encourage you trying Emma St. Clair, Jenny Proctor or Kerry Winfrey. I've read and enjoyed all three of these authors in the last month and enjoyed them. They have good romance but are closed door.

Alisa | 16 comments Pimpernel Pimpernel by Sheralyn Pratt had all of that (when I think of quirky females, this is the first book I think of)!

Also, I love anything written by Jennifer Peel.

Remi Carrington | 18 comments Do you prefer younger heroes (20s-30s) or a little older (40+)?

Do you have any suggestions for me? Everlasting is a great book. Loved it. It is set in e regency period but its fantasy so I didnt mind. So good. The second one is not great and the series is not finished sadly nor will it ever be. But the first book was a good ending so you could just leave it there! I thought it was over until I saw the second book and wish i didn't read it!

I really don't mind. Love a good older man! haha

Remi Carrington | 18 comments I have a romcom series with older cowboys. The second book in the series is a slow burn with a strong, quiet, protective guy.

Enchanted by Joji A Sweet Romantic Comedy (Stargazer Springs Ranch Book 2) by Remi Carrington

Most of the guys I write are protective, but they aren't all slow burn romances.

And if you like romantic suspense, Finding Claire (Hill Country Secrets, #1) by Pamela Humphrey is one I wrote under my real name. It's free.

Other books I've liked recently -
Coffee Shop Girl (Coffee Shop, #1) by Katie Cross
The Mostly Real McCoy (Apple Valley Love Stories #1) by Julie Christianson
if I think of any others, I'll circle back.

Thanks for your recommended reads. I'm halfway through your "Enchanted with Joji" & will start "Finding Claire" tonight.

Pallavi (pallavi_mohan) | 2 comments I would recommend Marianne Zapata’s books if you like slow burn romances. They are mostly sports romances. Start with Kulti or The Wall of Winnipeg. Hope you like them!
