Initially, I thought she was another woman after Roman and he was playing right into her hands. When she started to show up or call Roman all the time, I thought there was something fishy going on. I wasn't sure if she was trying to get a foot in Washington politics, or if she was a spy. When the truth was revealed I wasn't surprised at all.
Sharon did a better job than I did of seeing Darcy as more than just a clingy female. I just thought she was in the story to show how different she was than Gus and how she seemed more like the type of woman Roman had been looking for throughout his career.
Lynn wrote: "Sharon did a better job than I did of seeing Darcy as more than just a clingy female. That was against Roman's "perfect wife" model. It made me wonder why.
Sharon, my sentiments exactly. I thought she was just coming on to him initially but when it got downright embarrassing, I guessed that getting close to him was less about romance and more about a covert agenda. I never lost that suspicion so when she showed up at the barn, I was expecting her.
Lynn, it didn’t occur to me to compare her to Gus but that was a great direction.

I also thought she was just coming on to Roman at first but then she got too pushy. I wasn't sure if she was just trying to get with someone close to the President for her career or was involved in all that's been going on. I wasn't surprised to see her either at the barn.
I knew she was a baddie from the beginning. Don't know why exactly, but I just knew. She should have easily captured Roman's attention, she was everything he had always said he wanted, but Roman was finally coming to realize he was just fooling himself that he wanted a calm, non-confrontational woman.
I was suspicious of her from the start. There is a scene where she manipulates Roman by tearing up and I just shuddered and thought - "she's up to something".By the way, there is also something off about Joy's actions. She seemed quiet and shy, but deliberately maneuvered her way into Zack's life and her cozying up to Roman is very fishy.
