Gus and Roman decide to go get the recordings out of Ellen House’s storage on their own, even though they called Connor for backup. Do you believe the outcome would have been different if they’d waited? Was the revelation about Matthew Kemp a surprise or had you already surmised he was on their side?

I was surprised about Kemp, but I had begun to wonder about his motives. Gus and Roman are both very impetuous, so I don't think what they did is a surprise. I'm not sure if things would have turned out differently if they had waited. That is a good question.

Kemp surprised me. I was firm in my belief that he was the mole. Gus and Roman had to try to get to the tapes before the Russians. It held important information needed to solve the who/what/why behind what was going on.

If Gus and Roman waited, a lot would be different. I believe the trail to Mad's killer, and all the other events would be lost. How would they know where to look next. The tapes have important clues.

I really wish they’d waited on Connor to arrive. He’d have known that Darcy and her Russian henchmen were waiting in the wings.

Now Matthew Kemp! Never saw that coming. I was completely convinced he was a traitor.

It is a close call if they waited for Connor. Didn't he come to the scene late enough that Darcy and her crew would have left with the tapes.

Darcy and her crew didn’t know where the tapes where. They were depending on Gus and Roman to lead them to where they were stored.

That's right. They had a tracker on Gus' phone. I was thinking the got the information from the nurse's daughter.

Since the tracker was on Gus' phone, I don't think it would have helped to wait for Connor.

If they had waited I think things would have ended differently. Those tapes had been hidden successfully for years. 20 minutes would not have made a difference, but Conner would have been with them, another set of eyes and a trained CIA agent.

I was very sad that Kemp died just after we find out he's a good guy.

Kemp being a good guy was a total surprise twist for me too. I was convinced he had planted the bomb that killed Mad. Now I think he was at the airport to help Maddox fake his death.

Yes, if they had waited for Connor things would have turned out differently. That said, Connor would have caught and interrogated Darcy and her goons, and the story might have come to an end prematurely.
