I'm just glad you didn't change it to Talk Like a Pirate Day. While I wouldn't mind if you use Hug an Australian Day in April every year (love the prompt to read a Phrynne Fisher book), I was getting tired of Talk Like a Pirate. Maybe it was because of my own personal challenge of trying to use a different series for it every year...

Linda — Whew! It’s good to hear someone say that. While I know a lot of people used to love that one (including me), I felt it was time for a change. Not to mention that it could be a bit challenging finding books to fit that were mysteries. 🏴‍☠️ 🚣‍♀️ ☠️

And...done! Now I can concentrate on other books to finish out the month. 😀

Oh, and for a change, they’re actually all within the mystery/suspense genre this month — and a couple even went towards another challenge. Win win!

1. September 3 is skyscraper Day: Read a book with city/town buildings on the cover. The Target by Catherine Coulter

2. September 6 is Read a Book Day and September 8 International Literacy Day: Read a book about books. The Book Stops Here by Kate Carlisle

3. It’s Fall Hat Month and September 15 is Make a Hat Day and Felt Hat Day: Read a book with a hat on the cover or with “hat” in the title. The Return of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

4. September 22 is the Autumnal Equinox in the northern hemisphere: Read a book set during autumn. The Séance by Joan Lowery Nixon

5. September 22 is also Business Women’s Day: Read a book that features a woman who owns her own business. Coached to Death by Victoria Laurie

Lilili Finished my 4 tasks - msg 6 (but I started off in August, this is a challenge with myself, the aim is recovering my love for reading... and it's working big time!).
Now I absolutely have to finish two books that are dragging by, and then... October :-)
