I've been a fan of audiobooks since I was a little kid, and my dad rented audio cassette tapes from the library... Anyway, if you'd like a good spooky audio read, might I recommend "The Only Good Indians" by Stephen Graham Jones?
Chelsea wrote: "Do you use Audible? Or what do you use?"Most libraries have an app for ebooks/audiobooks. My app is called "Overdrive," but there's also Hoopla, Libby... I definitely don't have the money to buy any books, unfortunately. But the library has all I need and more.
90% of what I read is on audiobook, It's just how my time works out with kids, job, writing, etc. It lets me listen almost everywhere.I used to use Audible, but it became too expensive. I use SCRIBD now. It has at least 80% or more of the same stuff, but is much cheaper. It's like a Netflix for ebooks and audiobooks, but there is no waiting list like in my library's app.
I used my online library, who use overdrive. It's great to have access to tons of free stuff, but the waiting lists for some books is months. I find most of what I'm looking for is on SCRIBD, and if not and I really want to buy it, I go to google play. It's usually $5 cheaper than Audible.

I finally listened to this the other day! I definitely could have gone without the basketball games because, let's be real, I know absolutely nothing about basketball other than it goes in the hoop. I loved it so much though! The murder scenes?! Gruesome. The narrator was so wonderful too! The change in voices, in dialogue, even languages at one point! So good.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Yes, I love audiobooks, it took me years to learn how to actually use them because I'd get distracted, so there is usually a method but you can really get used to it, and it's awesome. I think I read like 5 books in audio form in a row when I finally got the hang of it.
I have Audible but it's pricey, I agree, and I'm currently doing a 2 month free promo of Scribd and I was shocked how many ebooks, audiobooks and magazines they have!

Not quite an audiobook, but the radio show, A Christmas Carol, with Lionel Barrymore (Mr Potter in It’s a Wonderful Life) as Scrooge.
I absolutely love adiobooks. Like so many others, I use Overdrive, Libby and Hoopla. Between the three cards and accounts I have, I can generally get most of what I want, but I also buy a lot on Chirp Books, but only the "deals." Chirp Books is nice because I am an obsessive rereader, and those books I own forever. It's free, no subscription, and the books I buy are never more than $2.99.I am going to look into Scribd now because of comments here. I'd never really thought about it since Audible was so expensive when I looked into that, I assumed all subscriptions were.

Anyone have something good they've listened to recently?
