Play any instruments?

I used to play piano (I sucked at it though) and I was a fairly good flute player. I even went on a trip to Europe and had some concerts there :)

I play the clarinet!

I’m not, but I sorta play the guitar and then the piano.

I play the flute which I need to get back into. Because of Covid band was not available this year at school so I didn't practice at all. Does anyone have any tips to be motivated to practice?? I need to work on my flute so I can do band this year.

One thing I liked about my band teacher was that if we were frustrated, and we were a lot, she would let us leave and go cry. Get out the frustration before coming back. And she EXPECTED us to cry because she knew that it would be hard.

My tip is to play music that you really enjoy along with your school's music. So if you like Harry Potter, find the Harry Potter theme song online and play that. I found that when I only played stuff I had to play for class, I barely practiced and it took branching out into new music to motivate me to practice more :)

I’ve started playing the piano

I know how to play the Viola! I used to play the bass clarinet, but that was a long time ago, and I only played it for a trimester.

I'll just explain what I do

Morning:
Long notes
Scales
Basics at 3 different tempos. 45mins to an hour.

Evening:

Specific verse or passage.

The piece that was taught last class -line by line with tempo.

3 different pieces in two different speeds/tempo. Any mistake , fix that and start from first. Practice until I get it right.

Usually more than an hour or more.

I usually stick to the same time morning / evening. 7 am and 7pm.

I used to go for keyboard classes!!

I signed up for Band and Guitar for school options this year. I am definitely getting in Band but Guitar I am not so sure. You rate the options from 1-7 for each of the two blocks then they (The School) try to get you in your top option.

I play the violin, piano, and kalimba. I play violin with my high school orchestra.

I am so bad at violin though, when my teacher didn't have enough students to go to honors orchestra I volunteered, (my mom made me go) and I almost died there. 🥲

I don't play instruments now. But 2-3 ago I stopped playing the Violin and the trumpet.

I play the violin and have done for a while but I don’t play in an orchestra. Though I would like to do it😂

I play percussion. It’s so much more than the drums. Plz don’t think that. I love it.
