Let's talk about chapters 26 to 35 here!

Wow. The apocalypse happened rather quickly. 😳 I’m enjoying following Larry and Rita and also Nick. I’m curious as to how Lloyd is going to get out of that prison and we haven’t seen Stu in awhile. I’m not super attached to Frannie and I have a feeling she’s just going to annoy me. I know the little communities that form are in Vegas and Boulder which are west coast. How are Larry and Rita going to make it that far from New York? This is giving me tons of Walking Dead vibes minus the zombies. I’m super sucked in now.

Trashcan Man! "What'd ole lady Semple say when you lit up her pension check, Trash?"

The chapter that introduces Trashcan Man may be one of my favorites in this book. What a wildly sad and terrifying character. I also loved the chapter of Lloyd in prison...got to hide that rat under your mattress to keep the flies off it, you know, just in case.

I loved meeting Trashcan Man! He’s definitely a memorable character. The scene with Larry in the Lincoln Tunnel was so creepy. I don’t know if I would’ve made it through 😂

It’s scary how quickly this plague wiped everybody out, and that many of those deaths weren’t even from the virus but from the government/military gunning them down and people just going crazy (the guy executing people on live TV 😳). It might have been in the last section, but that whole scene with the radio host getting killed in the station while people listened was just horrifying. Things just fell apart so fast!
