Ok, well I have read Grown and really enjoyed it! I thought that it tackled issues like abuse really well although I did think there were a lot of darker themes not normally seen in YA novels.

So I'm a third of the way through and uncomfortable is the right word for it! Enchanted is an interesting character, but I'm not so sure I like her at the beginning. I mean, I get it, and I can already see how she's being manipulated by Korey, but she's really mean/ungrateful to her parents and sibs. Or maybe selfish is a better word?

I so far am really enjoying this book and I liked how the author incorporated different elements in the story such as (view spoiler)[a 911 call between a neighbour and the call operator who heard yelling and screaming from Korey's apartment (hide spoiler)]. I thought that was really well done and it added a whole other fear layer to an already scary story. Although I hated Korey's character for all the cruel things he did, I had to admit he was written really well and Tiffany D Jackson wrote him in such a way that you were constantly on the edge of your seat knowing the potential way this story would go in and, as Eileen said, it made you feel very uncomfortable.

Glad to hear to hear that you're enjoying it! Totally agree at how well Jackson wrote Korey into such a despicable man and how uncomfortable reading about him was.

Definitely am enjoying it! I'm planning on finishing the book very very soon!
