I prefer hardcover. It’s just nicer for me, but less easier to carry or travel with.

..yes.. amongst other things"

When you said faerie smut, that was the first thing I thought of. I haven't read ACOTAR yet (I want to), but I've heard things about it.

I will. I kind of want to finish TOG first, but I might break my own rule and read both.

That's one thing that was slightly annoying me about it, but I usually read a lot of books with POV switches. I'm just not used to them mid-chapter.

No. Some of them are just completely annoying. Their personalities are just.....annoying.

I'm on Heir of Fire.

Celaena is hit or miss for me. At the moment, Chaol is kind of meh. Dorian is barely there, and I'm not sure how I feel about Rowan yet. He's kind of coming across as a jerk right now.

Who's your favorite? Mine's Sam Cortland in The Assassin's Blade.

I like Nehemia as well, but I like Sam more :)

I've only finished the first two ToG books, but The Assassin's Blade is my favorite. I actually read them separately as short stories, but The Assassin's Blade has all of them in it. You should. For me it was a fantastically sad time.

When you do eventually read it, let me know what you think. I'm interested in your thoughts on it.

Samuel Aronoff | 17 comments Audiobooks don’t have binding.

message 13: by Ayathma (new)

Ayathma | 607 comments Hard cover is lot better than paper back

camilla(taylor's version) (camillareadings) | 709 comments I don't know why the hardcover is really good, but in some cases it looks weird or doesn't fit so I don't know, I like both

message 15: by April (new)

April (halfbloodapril) | 31 comments Hardcover is harder to carry around, but it's more stable. Paperbacks are too flimsy.

message 16: by Luna (new)

Luna (luna13) Both have their cons and pros. Hardcover is heavy but it lasts longer. Most of my paperback books are all teared in the middle. I overall prefer hardcover.

message 17: by Kacie (new)

Kacie I like hardcover better cuz they usually stay open easier XD

message 18: by Hailey (new)

Hailey (hva333) I like hardcovers because the covers cannot get torn, ripped, bent, and broken. Also, they're bigger and for some reason, give me more motivation to read than paperbacks. ;)

message 19: by Fifi (new)

Fifi Definitely hardback as they last longer, all my paperbacks look I went through a windstorm with them XD

Exactly! This is why I love hardcopies better!

message 21: by Nix (new)

Nix hardback because they last longer and the color doesn't fade

message 22: by Scarlett (new)

Scarlett O.H. | 2 comments Paperbacks, they handle better and are easier and lighter to carry in my shoulder bag. I also adore the artwork on older horror paperbacks (cool!) and on historical romance books (corny!)

message 23: by ✨ tazannah ✨ (new)

✨ tazannah ✨ (tazannahgresheld) hardcover- closes easily and doesnt ruin the cover when i bend it

message 24: by titi (new)

titi Paperbacks are so satisfying to hold, I will always choose them over hardcover! Also they give a more mysterious vibe than a book that looks all straight and polished. And they can last a lifetime, too, if you know how to treat a book right ;)

message 25: by Shawna (new)

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 389 comments I can't choose. Paperbacks feel nicer to hold when I'm reading them and they're cheaper but hardbacks look nicer on my shelves and they last longer

message 26: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Clark | 280 comments Probably paperback- cheeper so I can buy more!

message 27: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (thekalechip) Paperback- cheaper, more common and you don't have to deal with the annoying dust covers

message 35: by Erika (new)

Erika (erychan86) | 60 comments I have been struggling with this for so long because I always switch BUT I recently found out why... For me it depends on the book genre.

If it's YA, NA, Fantasy, Series: it HAS TO BE HARDCOVER. These books look amazing and have the best covers. Same with Autobiographies and Memoirs (but not biographies).

If it's any other kind of book then I'll go with paperback unless its a new release or the hardcover is gorgeous!

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

PAPERBACK!

message 37: by emilynn (new)

emilynn | 3 comments personally paperback will always be my favorite (definitely not bc it’s cheaper) just bc it just feels nicer ig? but in some books i do prefer hardcover

lydia ‧ ia (lydia_the_hobbit) | 220 comments Yeah I agree it feels nicer to read and it sometimes looks nicer on my shelf

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

So soft *strokes book*

message 40: by Nora (new)

Nora Currie | 72 comments Paperback because it is much lighter to carry when I am walking:))

Kyle Rid (kylerid) | 34 comments I love paperback, buuuut there are some covers which flake off along the edge. It’s not that big of a problem with small books, but with the big ones, or with those which are read over extensive period of time and are in constant usage… Damn

camilla(taylor's version) (camillareadings) | 709 comments of curse hardcover
