Sammm | 88 comments Hi, this inquiry is specifically about ISBN-13: 9781529357479 currently shackled with The Midnight Lie (The Midnight Lie, #1) by Marie Rutkoski this cover at www.goodreads.com/book/show/52074557 ; to clarify, I've read the Librarian note provided on that particular book page, and had I only taken its word for it, there would have been no problem. I also understand how ACE works and how GR later adjusted the guideline so that newer reprinted editions with different covers are to get the ISBN and not the other way around.

However, the info given by the UK publisher (this is the UK edition) looks like even the regular UK hardback shares this ISBN that was claimed to be only for exclusive edition, as seen here: www.hachette.co.uk/titles/marie-rutko... In this situation, shouldn't the NORMAL edition that's more likely to reach more mass, take priority?

It's a genuine question. I don't want to hastily make changes if there are some other reason for the current decision, but if not, is it safe to let the ISBN to be used for the regular UK hardback instead?
