This is my first time playing so just tell me what you need from me until I get the hang of it. I'm excited to play. It hasn't technically started yet, has it?
No, it hasn't started yet. The first items will be called on Friday noon EST.
I'm just checking to see if your team was going to pick a captain? It not a necessity but it does help to have a captain to help organize things and possibly make a team spreadsheet.
I would have loved to become the captain.. but since I am travelling till the end of the month, its not fair on my part to hold that spot up.. so I step down !But if any help is needed with the Spreadsheet or anything, I am always glad to do so ! :)

I probably won't have enough time to be a captain as well, and I love the name Victorious Secret
I don't feel comfortable being team captain since,as of right now,I'm clueless as the rules...well just everything so far. Maybe after we start and I see how it works.
I still love Victorious Secret but if it has to have our color in it, like The Hot Pink Flamingos. But I think they're expecting a name from us before we start today...does someone want to let the mod Jennifer know?
I have no played this one but I can be captain. I will ask for help if I need it. I will let Jennifer know the team name now.

Ok words are blue and bonus word is flame. So I can make sure I have the rules figured out I just need to read a book with the words blue and flame in it somewhere correct?
Yes, that is correct but you also want to find one word from the other 3 categories (people, place & things)
Shy, a total of five words need to be found this week : Four (one from each category), which now includes 'Blue', plus the bonus word is what we need to find per week.
I like it that flame was called so soon I couldn't find it in many books :P

In each week we read books that need to contain items called but also with items from each of the other categories.
Ok thanks I got it now. I was making it harder in my mind than it is. Off to look for a book now.
