Out of curiosity, do you guys also contract out for work on existing websites? For example, I have two websites - one as an author and one as a musician. Both are on Wix platforms. If I needed help on these sites, could you contract out for it?

I built my own. The tools are out there, and I worked as an IT tech most of my career, so I was able to do it, on my own.

I built my own on Wix, and had luck with it.

I used to enjoy building my own sites using Flash & Dreamweaver.

I’ve since poked about on Wix and Squarespace and not really got on with either of them. I stumbled upon Go Daddy and found it much more intuitive and now I’ve signed up with them and now hosting my author / composer site with them. Just in case people are looking for options other than Wix & Squarespace.

Looks intriguing. I will give it a serious look and consideration.

I manage my own site. I've used GoDaddy for years and I think they are great! No issues and I can get the templates and any additions I want:

I used Godaddy for years, but I have shifted to WIX now for my new site. The amount of tools, apps, and e-commerce apps Wix is providing is amazing, I managed to create a promo code, and shopping cart running site with a loyalty program within a week.

Now I can focus on working on the books and marketing and everything else is almost automated, including sending out coupons and emails.
