A World Within discussion

I'm about to get started reading this today. It's interesting to see that Forna chose gold as the color of impurity, but I assume she did that on purpose.

I'm liking this book so far. Looking forward to some action or something though. And the draft animals having talons seems a little bit strange/impractical.

The culture of Otera seems to stress the importance of names. They didn't ask White Hands her real name, in fear of haunting consequences, and the commanders go by very respectable titles, and if they are mispronounced or shortened, the guilty party is promised reprimanding.

I'm really liking Ixa and getting forward to learning how he's involved with the story.

Just finished last night. I liked it. Looking forward to the sequel.
