Problematic Content in Books

I think that such content is okay as long as readers are warned beforehand and the author isn't trying to promote things that harm other people :)It's a tricky subject. I'm incredibly picky when it comes to what I find problematic and what I think shouldn't be in books. At the end of the day, it's their book and as long the content in it isn't harming anyone, they should be allowed to write whatever content they please into their books.
personally it makes me really uncomfortable if there's problematic bits in books, but I do try to stay open minded, it just gets difficult sometimes

As long as the content makes sense with the storyline then I think it's fine.Putting a list of trigger warnings at the front of the book would be great

I think, since writing is a form of self-expression, there should be some room for authors to be able to state their opinions. I think maybe instead of limiting controversial or problematic content, books should be given a content warnings page (written objectively by someone other than the author).
I'm interested to see what others have to say and perhaps gain some new insight from some of you as well!! Hope y'all have a great day/night wherever you are!
