Historical Fictionistas discussion

I discovered Jane Harris just this year, and she's now my newest favourite! Her characters are outsiders and have distinctive voices, and her settings are faultlessly vivid. The Observations and Gillespie and I are set in 19th-century Scotland, while Sugar Money is in the 18th-century Caribbean. Looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.
