I CANNOT find any recommendations based on what I am currently reading--that option just doesn't show up when I go to my book page and follow that link. I get recommendations for an odd assortment of shelves plus a separate section with 5 different genres!

I could not find it the way it says on here - what i did
1. open your MY books page
2. click on Browse > reccomendations
on the right hand side comes a list of shelves that you can get reccs from choose currently reading shelf

I am not sure how many recs a site can give off a shelf that only ever has 1 or 2 books on it but i got several doing it this way

I have since managed to work it the way suggested here and the same books are given so I say whatever way works for you
