Constellation swept in and sat down on a boulder

Nile walked in singing obnoxiously loud.

Constellation snarled at Nile

Nile sang louder. It was obvious that he was annoying, though he was quite handsome.

Constellation sighed and flung a mango at his snout

Nile ate it and then ended with singing: “MANGOS!”

Constellation rubbed her ears and flung her galaxy-colored wings over her head.

Nile jumped onto his bed and stretched. “Hello NightWing!” He said smiling goofily. “Lemme guess your name…Galaxy? Star? Constellation? I’m Nile.”

“It’s Constellation.” Constellation said, removing her wings. She was well-fed and sleek. The expression on her face was a quiet smile.

“You don’t look very skinny like the others,” Nile said. “Have any siblings?” He sat down on his bed. He picked his teeth with one of his sleep white talons.

“No.” Constellation said. She tilted her head at him slightly, her dark purple eyes glinting.

“Your pretty,” said Nile. He looked at his claws then stared through the window. “I have a younger sister named Okpai.”

Constellation blinked at him. Her scales were as always black but her wings were entirely different.

“What? Don’t get thst a lot? I guess everyone bites their tough these days,” said Nile.

“No.. It’s just- no one’s ever called me pretty before.” Constellation said.

“Huh. So I guess I was right,” said Nile. He brushed his ruff out of his face and laughed.

Constellation fought down a smile.

Nile yawned. He had sharp fangs and his barb tail he flicked around carelessly.

Constellation edged into the corner, folding her wings.

Nile sky blue eyes zipped around the room. Gathering every little detail.

Cheetah poked her head in. “Uh. Hi? Am I in the right cave?” Cheetah asked.

Constellation stared at Cheetah.

“No,” said Nile. “Our other clawmate is Ota a MudWing IceWing. Sorry.”

“Oh. Okay.” Cheetah said and left, her yellow-black scales catching the light as she walked away.

Constellation looked at the window, opening and closing her wings.

“That was weird,” admitted Nile.

Constellation nodded

Nile layer down and closed his eyes. “Nighty night,” he said.

"Night? It's morning!" Constellation said.

Nile smiled but his eyes were still closed.

Constellation sighed

**hours later**

“Good morning!” Said Nile stretching. “Wonderful night sleep. How was yours?”

Constellation grunted something nonchalant and sat up, spreading her starry wings.

“I guess it’s still night if the stars are still out,” said Nile with a smirk. He jumped down from his bed and called, “Au revoir!” As he walked out of the cave.

Constellation followed him.
