Friends of Immersive Fantasy - Readers Club for the World of Ylécium discussion

In July, I started watching Shadow and Bone on Netflix. After the first episode, I got up the next day and bought Leigh Bardugo's first book in the trilogy. Seriously.

I actually only meant to read book one, curious to the writing behind the show (at times the show was a bit better, I thought). But then... then I picked up the book I HAD been reading and thought... ugh. Just no. I wasn't enjoying it at all, learning nothing from it... it was painful, actually.

So I bought of Siege and Storm, and oh my gosh, THAT book sucked me right in. Leigh had found her pace and added a dazzling character that bespelled me completely. So, of course I finished book 3! 🤣

By the time I finished the trilogy, I really saw where Leigh was taking the story and enjoyed it more than the show.
