September mini challenge - CELEBRATING READING

Several events in September celebrate reading, and so we will!

* Banned Books Week begins Sept 26, 2021 - Read a book that has been on the ALA (American Library Association) Banned Books List. You can find the list here: https://www.ala.org/advocacy/bbooks/f... ANY year will do

* Favorite authors - Read a book by a favorite author. You must have read at least two books previously by the author that you rated 4* or higher). Tell us the author's name and the previous books read.

* Sept 8 is International Literacy Day - Read a book where the 1st letter of each title word can be found in INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY. Letters may be used only so often as they appear in the target phrase. 3-word minimum; all words count.

* Can we judge a book by it's cover? - Read a book with two or more books on its cover. (Post the cover image)

* September is Library Card Month - Read a book by an author whose first and last initials are in LIBRARY CARD (Letters may be used only so often as they appear in the target phrase. Ignore middle initials if used.)

RULES OF THE CHALLENGE

All books used must be a minimum of 100 pages long - Page length determined by HARDCOVER 1st edition. If there is no Hardcover, then the most popular paperback governs page #.

You may read in any format - text, audio or e-book.

You MUST finish the book before you can claim credit for completing a task.

A book may be used for only one task, even if it would satisfy the challenge for multiple tasks.

EXAMPLE of a successful post:
Title begins with a letter in BLUE: - The Unteachables ✔ - 31May19


If you'd like to be recognized as finishing, the challenge, please post a new comment alerting me to your finish. I do not get notifications when you edit your original post.

Koren has it right ... I just mean that the cover has to show two or more books
