Dungeons & Dragons Experiment discussion

You guys just finished training for ten long years at Paylores academy and are getting prepared for the final test.

Sounds of leaves rustling you wake up and notice that it is an hour before the test starts so you get packed and head over

Keyla you have been up for hours but finds out that is time for the test so you start heading over

Nathanial you woke up 10 minutes before the test and scurried to get ready and head over

Once all of you have arrived you notices a small pen with a bear cub a wolf pup and a fox and a dragon hatchling. Which are being taken care of by the test leader Nalla which you know as the nanny to Paylores twins Apollo and Ember. Which stand behind her.

Sorry I ment only to have a bear cub a wolf pup and a dragon hatchling. ))

Nate goes forward. "So Nalla, what are the baby animals for?" He asks her as he looks around for any hints as to what their final test might be. Whether on paper or in the arena. Nate was the kind to go with the flow so he was very ready for this test.

Nalla; as you know you get a guide on your quest to protect Apollo and Ember. And you get Trinket the bear cub.

as Nate is questioning Nalla Keyla studies the different eggs and picks up the pen “this isn’t a writing test, i doubt that it will have to do with anatomy, so it has to be some sort of first-hand experience with our knowledge” said Keyla

Nathaniel you get trinket the bear cub handed over to you by Apollo

Keyla you get night shade the dragon hatchling handed over to you by Ember

Nate smiled and thanked Nalla for the bear cub. Going over to it and lightly petting it. "Well where is the dungeon then? I am ready." He said to them all as he was ready to prove his worth.

Nalla: " it's only a carriage ride away speaking of it here it is "

The carriage pulls up behind Nalla

Evony runs up, nearly tripping over her own long legs. She sets a violin case down and brushes her snow white hair out of her violet eyes. "Sorry I'm late for the orientation, guys! Was up late last night practicing with my band and I overslept... Aww is that a baby dragon? Can I hold him?" She reaches out toward Keyla.

(As you guys head of to the dungeon in the carriage all of your familiar colors start glowing)

As they glow you notice all of them are now bonded to you on this journey) )

“sure Evony!” she hands her the hatchling

whenever the hatchling collar glows: “woah! i’m so excited to finally do something with all my knowledge, are you excited Evony?”

((Are Keyla and I connected to the same familiar then? That'd be cool. Also, what color is he glowing?))
"Yeah." Evony said a little distracted as she carefully took the dragon and scratched it under its chin. "I've been looking for a reason to use my spells for a more practical application than onstage pyrotechnics." She tried to ignore the motion as the carriage began moving. "I wonder why this familiar spirit chose a dragon shape. Availability? Intimidation? You think he might be compensating for an insecurity?"

"Ah fascinating." Nate said happily, interested about the glowing collar of his bear cub.

“nate are going to name your cub?”

to evony “the possibilities of what a dragon could represent are endless, power, strength, protection…anything”

before entering keyla opens her spell book and reviews her spells very quickly and whispers to herself: “doing this for you, papa” ((my initiative is 18 i assumed that’s what you meant))

Evony handed the dragon to Keyla and jumped down from the carriage. She made her way to the cave's entrance, but her attention was on Raw, the raven that had perched itself on her shoulder, giving her what she interpreted as a jealous glare. That made Evony nervous and she hoped it didn't show on her face. Many stories said that ravens were omens of ill fate and bad luck. "Please don't look at me like that," she whispered.

(As you all walk in the doors close behind you. As that happens a mysterious light shines around the room. There are three pillars in the back of the room one red one blue and one yellow. On the other side there are three orbs colored red yellow and blue. ) what would you like to do?

Nate nodded from Keyla. "I think I'll call him rusty." He then got out of the carriage and got ready for a fight. Once Nate walks in he sees the orbs and approaches the blue one. He tries to discern what it is for.

(Nate you walk up to this orb and you can discern that it's is a magical stone that great wizards and sorcers used post the war.)

Evony came up behind the others and bumps into Nate. "Oh, sorry. My attention is literally everywhere else today." She tried to step aside and bumped into one of the pillars. She put out her hands to steady it. "Woah! That was close. Um, what are we looking at? Oh. I see." She took in the scene. "Is there a correlation between the colors of the balls and the columns? Is it as easy as matching them?"

Keyla walks toward the yellow orb and lifts her glasses up to look at it and makes a confused face then puts her glasses back on ((rolling for arcane check: nat 1)) “of all the books that i’ve read I haven’t seen anything like this, it’s amazing”

As you guys look at the orbs you see a tiny white specks fly around red orb and the yellow pillar

“hmmm maybe the red orb and yellow pillar go together, and the yellow orb goes with the…..[she walks to the blue pillar] blue pillar?”

((not yet)) “we should all place the orbs on the pillars at the same time and see what that does”

Evony picked up the blue orb. "Not a bad idea. So are we matching them with the same colors? Or are we putting the ones that currently have the glowing motes of light together, namely the red orb and the yellow pillar?" She looked at the rest of the small group.

“i have no idea, the red orb and yellow pillar started glowing at the same time”

“so that made me think those two matched…wait…*getting more excited as she talks* what if the glowing/sparkle was meant to throw us off! And we’re actually supposed to match the colors together!” i look to my hatchling which i named jackie after my papa and ask it “what do you think jackie?”

Jackie; I don't know mabye there there for a reason

“HOLD UP YOU CAN TALK I LOVE THAT”

Jackie; yes . When we bound to you we are able to speak our mind but only to who we're bounded with.

Rusty; Nate I think your partners are overthinking this puzzle.

Evony set the blue orb on the platform and looked to Azarath. "What do you think?"

((You take 7 lightning damage) ) as you place it on the platform it thrusts off and lining hits you

Nate chuckled from Rusty. "Yeah I think you are right." Nate took the red orb and brought it to the yellow pillar. Looking for a place for the orb to go and placing it on the yellow platform.
