Our independent Queen. I didn’t like how towards the end of the book she basically settled.

Rosh ~catching up slowly~ (roshreviews) One of my favourite characters in the classics. I loved her gutsiness. Even when she had to marry to fit the social norms of the era, she chose an unlikely partner and even ran a school with him, handling it even better than him. I'm sure she must have been a great role model for girls of her time.

Jo is SO CUTE. I love that she’s a Tom-boy and I love when she puts her hands in her pockets and whistles. I personally think Jo is just perfect in every way and she reminds me of the author personally! Jo finds a way into every heart and I think that’s what the author wanted. She’s just such a great character!!

I love her independence and confidence when she talks to people, she speaks her mind, but usually is very respectful. Even when she messes up and says too much or the wrong thing, it's not THAT bad. Like when she first meets Laurie. (agh I love their relationship)
