I wouldn't know where to begin my list! I read mostly standalones. 😄
i haven't read many standalones but my favourites so far have been Counting Down with You and One of Us Is Lying (this one is technically not a standalone but can be read as one)

Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, it's just fantastic in every aspect.
