Hi!I'm new here. Can these books be any books, or only the ones that Stephen King has recommended? Because I would like someone to read Dreamcatcher with. :)
Is it only the books on the bookshelf that have been read already?I don't see The Burn Palace there, so that's my choice. I nominated it at some point but it wasn't a go. Giving it another try :)
I'll nominate City of Women. Stephen King says, "The city is Berlin, 1943, and the woman we care about is Sigrid, whose husband is fighting on the eastern front. Sigrid is seduced by two very different men (the sex in this book is hot-hot-hot), but the real seduction involves her reluctant participation in a scheme to ferry Jews to safety. You haven’t experienced such gray skies since season 1 of The Killing, but the feel is all Casablanca. I can’t wait for Gillham’s next novel—play it again, Sam."

We read books King has read and recommended. So, Dreamcatcher won't work for this group. Sorry.

You- Caroline Kepnes"
Neither of these books are noted as read and recommended by Stephen King, unless you've seen blurbs for them somewhere. If so, please let me know what they say and I'll add them to the bookshelf.
To see LOTS of books King has read and recommended check out my bookshelf called "sai-king-recommends" at sai-king-recommends bookshelf.

Katie, we read this as a group read not too long ago. Sorry. Please nominate something else.

Hi Debra - I didn't find that novel on the "read as a group" bookshelf of this group, which is why I suggested it. Is that bookshelf up to date? I don't want to keep nominating books the group has already read.
They were both read and recommended by Stephen as stayed on his twitter. That's were I got the books. Thanks.
Has Dominion by CJ Sansom been a group read before? I'm on the app so can't see or link the book - sorry. If it hasn't, then I'd like to nominate that.

YOU, by Caroline Kepnis: Hypnotic and scary. A little Ira Levin, a little Patricia Highsmith, and plenty of serious snark. Cool stuff.

I'm afraid the bookshelves for this group aren't a good representation. Sorry about that. I will fix Something Wicked.

We haven't read Dominion so I'll add that one. Thanks, Sarah.

That's great, Jamie! I'll add You to our bookshelf. Is that your nomination, too?
Also, did you get the Tweet for Nick Cutter's book?

You know, Katie, I checked and I do have Something Wicked marked as a group read. Looks like Goodreads has another bug. We don't rely on the bookshelves here, but I can see how it would be confusing if you were trying to figure out if we'd already read a book. Sorry about that!

We tried this one as a group read in 2012, but no one actually read it. I think it is too daunting for most folks.

Alll right. Maybe some other time.. I'm really liking it a LOT, myself. 300 pages in.:)
Ok, I have to mention I was not a fan at all of Double Feature. Quite comic in some parts but bizarre and boring for the most part. Anyone else read it?

I haven't, yet, Josee. I have it on my bookshelf. I guess I'll get to it sometime, but your review doesn't inspire me to do so. lol

No I guess it wouldn't lol
Since we've not heard back from Jamie, I'm going to make You: A Novel is nomination and close this thread. Will set up poll by this weekend.
