I don't read much of those genres so I don't have much suggestions haha, I'll go along with what everyone else! The series BOTM not along with the standalone sounds great, unless no one enjoys and plans on continuing after book one haha.
Thanks, Eryn!

Hello, Cherelle!
Same! I'm not a big thriller or mystery reader either though some of the ones I have read have been good (well the mysteries haven't really read a thriller).
I'd heard that Ace of Spades was good so hopefully that one gets chosen in the poll.
Thank you for your feedback, Cherelle!

I'd love to read House of Salt and Sorrows, but doubt I'll be able to join this time (I have so many ARCs from Netgalley to read and review and I'm SUPER behind on them already - I also already have my TBR for October chosen out). Could we please return to series BOTM in November? I'd personally rather have it where we read it over a couple of months because that's not as rushed and I'm super busy with school now.

Hello Celia,
It's totally understandable. So many books and reviews to post and a lot of time is supposed to be dedicated to school. It's really just a lot.
If you do end up reading whatever ends up being the BOTM then I'll be looking forward to seeing your thoughts!
And definitely! We'll probably be alternating between a series BOTM and standalone and not both in one month. That way it won't get to be too much.
Thanks for your feedback! I hope you're having a great day or night!

I agree with the alternating series BOTM and standalone BOTM plan!As for recommendations, I can't think of any right now but I'll come back with some possible book(s) we could read

Thank you 😊
I really enjoyed The Inheritance Games! I’m currently waiting for the second book to come in the mail.
I’ve heard great things about A Good Girls Guide to Murder.
All are great choices! Thanks May ☺️

I hope you enjoyed your past few months with no book club but we'll be starting again in October if you wanted to read-a-long with us!
Spooky Season is approaching (though for some of you it may have already started when the first leaf hit the ground or the first chill breeze floated your way)!
That means the BOTM is going to be tailored to more Thrillery/Mystery reads and Horror if you guys want but I'm not too big on horror!
My suggestions down below include:
- Ace of Spades
- Sawkill Girls
- House of Salt and Sorrows
- The Bone Houses
I also have a question about improving this book club or any changes after the last few months:
- Do you guys still want to do a series BOTM? If we did continue the series BOTM, I would change a few things like make it so it's not read alongside the Standalone BOTM and instead read in place of it over a few months.
-Would you rather have the series BOTM be that way?
Do YOU have any suggestions on how to make the book club more interactive? As I think of more things, I'll throw more ideas out there but for now that is the only question I have!
Have a great day, evening or night and happy reading to you all!
