In stores, a tomato can be found in the fruit or the vegetable isle. What do you think?

I guess it is a fruit. But..why do we think its a vegetable? Cuz some of us don't like it to the point where we can bite into it?
I think because before, people didn't really care or consider the difference between fruits/veggies, so they assumed it was a vegetable.

Maybe because it's commonly in salads, which are mostly full of vegetables?

I agree with Maura. All fruits have seeds, a tomato has seeds, it's pretty obvious, isn't it? I think that the only reason that some of us think it's a vegetable is that when we think of fruits, we normally think of apples, bananas, etc. Not tomatoes and I agree with Dragobeak too because most people probably don't care about the difference and didn't really classify a tomato as a fruit.
It’s a fruit. But I can’t help but think of it as a veggie (the thought of putting a fruit sauce in a burger is weird to me)
We learned about fruits in science again, and let me update my earlier declaration: a fruit is the ripened ovary of a flower, whether it is edible or not.So yeah.
Fruit!
