Dale Lehman (dalelehman) | 383 comments On Saturday, 9/25/2021, I'll be sending the inaugural issue of my new newsletter, Writing Corner. A spin-off from my newsletter for readers, Story Corner, Writing Corner will feature advice and tips for writers. You can subscribe to either or both newsletters from the sign-up page on my website: https://www.daleelehman.com/free-eboo...

I plan to develop some courses for writers, too. My first course is, in fact, already done, but it's not available for download yet. I have to upgrade my MailChimp account before I can deliver it, and that probably won't happen until next year. The first course, Start Writing, Keep Writing, features advice on establishing or rekindling a writing habit and dealing with the dreaded writer's block. It will be offered for free as an incentive to subscribe. Existing subscribers will receive it free as well, if they wish. Subsequent courses will be for a fee. (And hey, if you have any ideas on what a good price would be, let me know. At least at first, courses will be structured as seven emails, delivered daily.)

Again, if you're interested in either Writing Corner or Story Corner, visit https://www.daleelehman.com/free-eboo... to sign up. For now, you get my Story Corner freebies when you sign up, regardless of which newsletter you choose. Thanks!

Wow, Dale. What a great idea. I wish you all the best on this endeavor. Writers and budding writers will no doubt benefit from your experience. As for the price, I would say not too cheap. People take cheap for granted. And not too expensive. Most writers are on a tight budget. Aim for the middle.

Thanks, Groovy. I guess the question is, where is "the middle." I tried a poll a while back, and the few answers I got were along the lines of, "Not more than $5.00," which I think is too low given the effort I put into building a course. Any one course isn't that big, but it's fairly dense (a lot of info packed into a small space). So I'm thinking on the order of $12 - $18. Later I could bundle several courses for a discounted price (say, if they are $12 individually, I could offer a bundle of 5 for $50, which would be about a 17% discount).

Sounds like a plan. And you could adjust your prices up or down depending on the response. All the best, Dale. Please let us know how it goes. Have a safe weekend!!
