At the Mountains of Madness is excellent. Finally read it this year and couldn't put it down. He was ahead of his time

Melissa wrote: "Now I want to read The Drowning Girl."A little late to this, but good choice. I'd also recommend Kiernan's The Red Tree. I think the two novels work off each other, though I'd be hard pressed to say just how.
William Miekle has some awesome Lovecraftian stuff! Best to look him up on Amazon, as there seems to be little about him here.....
I often wonder why House of Leaves doesn't get shelved or mentioned as cosmic horror more often. It's so twisted and inexplicable that it fits right in in my opinion.

Other cosmic horror that I loved is:
The Ballad of Black Tom by Victor LaValle. It's the re-imagining of Lovercraft's The Horror at Red Hook. I would recommend Red Hook first to get the full experience of Black Tom.
14 by Peter Clines is awesome!
Lovecraft's H.P. Lovecraft's the Dunwich Horror, The Shadow over Innsmouth, At the Mountains of Madness are all classics for a reason.
Lighter cosmic horror would include John Dies at the End, Tales from the Gas Station, Vol. 1, and I think The Hollow Places would fit in the category.
