Candice | 17 comments Sorry for being the weirdo who friended/followed everyone in the group, lol. My logic was the more people I follow, the more exposure I have to books I may want to read and since books are my happy place, it totally made sense in my mind before I thought about how creepy it may make me look! haha.

Carry on, and have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments Not creepy. I certainly had the same thought. ☺️

message 3: by Vicki (new)

Vicki | 1 comments I didn’t think creepy just friendly. We are both governerds, after all.

message 4: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments I should have known my fellow governerds would understand! 🥰 I’m definitely guilty of worrying too much sometimes! 😂

Cory | 1 comments Thanks for the friend request, always great to connect with Governerds

Candice | 17 comments Anyone else ever pre-order a book, forget that you did, and then have a pleasant surprise when you see it in your kindle!? 😂😂 Went to buy the book Sharon recommended yesterday and realized, I already had 🙈🙈🙈

Candice | 17 comments Anyone else a prime member that takes advantage of First Reads? We get to pick two books this month and I’m having such a hard time deciding!

message 8: by Marcy (new)

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments What is first reads? I am a Prime Member.

message 9: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments You get a free early release kindle book every month! (Sometimes two!) they usually have 10 you can choose from of varying genres. I like it because it gives me the chance to find new authors!

message 10: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments If you Google “Amazon first reads” they page with the selections should come up. I don’t remember if I had to activate it as a part of my membership or not though.

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments Cool, thank you.

message 12: by Amy (new)

Amy | 5 comments Yes! I've picked one, but can't decide for the other one!!

message 13: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments I ended up picking the psychological thriller and the memoir because I really am a sucker for those two genres 😂😂 But I could have easily picked two more!

message 14: by Erin (new)

Erin | 2 comments I picked Her Perfect Family and Flight Risk. I have SO many TBR books that I’ll never get through them all!

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments Do any of you listen to the podcast What Should I Read Next? It’s amazing.

I listen occasionally. The host lives right down the street from me in one of my favorite houses in the neighborhood. I wasn't familiar with her until she hosted a book event with Liane Moriarty for our local bookstore.

message 17: by Marcy (new)

Marcy (marzipantz) | 13 comments Oh wow! I have listened on and off for a few years ever since it started. I’m always adding to my TBR after listening and seriously wondering how I’d ever choose 3 books!

message 18: by Monite (new)

Monite | 1 comments Seriously, I feel so stupid. It has taken me weeks to figure out how to post. What’s the Dirt book Sharon was talking about?

message 19: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments Anyone ever feel the need to “declutter” their want to read shelf? 😂 I started to, and it’s so interesting to see the evolution of my reading preferences from when I first joined goodreads in 2013 to now 😂😂

message 20: by Candice (new)

Candice | 17 comments Marcy… thanks for the podcast suggestion! I added it to my queve… idk how if ever pick 3 books either 😬

Monite… it’s Dirt by Mary Marantz! It was on sale on kindle a couple of weeks ago, so I picked it up but haven’t started it yet!
