Please recommend nonfiction titles here that may be historical or contemporary, but are helpful in understanding multicultural experiences and perspectives.

Here are some of my recommendations: Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning -- The audiobook, read by Jason Reynolds is so powerful.
Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer -- This is one of my all-time favorite books. I've listened to the audiobook (read by the author) as well as read and reread the book.
The Conversation: How Seeking and Speaking the Truth About Racism Can Radically Transform Individuals and Organizations by Robert Livingston
The Making of Asian America: A History
An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States: Revisioning American History
See No Stranger
400 Souls The Color of Law
Both were very eye opening! I’m definitely going to check out your suggestions, Claudia!
Great recommendations, Claudia! I've added some to my to-read list.I would also highly recommend An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States.
Isabel Wilkerson's books Caste and The Warmth of Other Suns are also both excellent.
Dear America, Notes from an Undocumented Citizen - Jose Antonio Vargas really opened my eyes to how unbelievably complex immigration is and gave me so much more empathy for what it's like emotionally and psychologically to be undocumented. The Warmth of Other Suns is excellent and reads more like a novel than non fiction. Caste is on my to-read list.
