I've actually read 3 novels already that fit this prompt!Base Notes -- which I will be using for another (spoilery) prompt instead
Sundial -- just finished ARC: deeply unsettling and very satisfying: several content warnings.
Something Fabulous -- ahistorical, extremely funny
For this category I read Honor, by Thrity Umrigar, a favorite writer of mine, I loved this book, and recommend it!
So far I've read at least two books published this year! I've already used Lara Elena Donnelly's Base Notes (which I loved) to fulfil the 'from the villain's perspective' prompt, so for this one I'll go for Sundial by Catriona Ward -- also very good.
Daughters of the Deer by Danielle Daniel … but also One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle (I’ve already mentioned that one elsewhere though

It is September and I have read several. Most recently (finished this week is The Wise Women by Gina Sorell
I've also finished "The Vanishing Type" by Ellery Adams (may be my favorite of this series so far - I hope another is coming!) and The Power of Regret by Dan Pink.
True Biz was an incredible history and cultural book about the Deaf community. One of the best books I have ever read
I just read
The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn which is a historical fiction based on the story of Lyudmila Pavlichencko, a Ukrainian sniper known by the Russians as Lady Death for her part in fighting against the German invasion of her homeland in WW2. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
The Bangalore Detectives Club by Indian author Harini Nagendra is a cozy mystery set in 1920s Bangalore. The first in a series featuring the mathematical and forward-thinking Kaveri, an enjoyable read with yummy recipes at the end. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ here is my review
